There are two really big events happening in the Highlands/Bellevue Communities this weekend.
Highlandia Festival takes place on Saturday, from 2-11pm in Henry Martell Park (Ada Blvd between 65 & 66 Streets), it’s a for-the-community-by-the-community music festival that started 2 years ago and grows bigger every year.
Porkapalooza takes place over three days in Borden Park, and organizers are preparing to host tens of thousands of meat eaters looking for all kinds of tasty treats.
Leave your car at home this weekend – walk to Porkapalooza on Friday night and enjoy the Barebones Ribfest ($10), walk to Highlandia Fest on Saturday and enjoy music, food, and fun with your neighbours ($Free), and walk back to Porkapalooza again on Sunday (no admission charge) to celebrate Fathers Day with meat.
